Max

As some of you might know we have a little dog named Max. Zane surprised me for my 27th birthday with him! Max has gone everywhere with us and has been my little buddy. A friend told me while I was pregnant, that once the baby was born Max would take a different role. When I heard this, I didn't believe him but he was right. I love my little dog but he has definitely not gotten the attention and love that he used to. Therefore this blog post is dedicated to him because he is still my little buddy. The following pictures show Max getting ready for Grant!

The Sweetness of a Child

Here is a picture of Grant in his grandpa's shirt made by his great, great, great grandmother. Actually, I can't remember how many greats but it is really old!!! The stitching of the shirt and tie were really detailed, that thankfully he was only in the shirt for the photo because I was afraid he was going to get it dirty. He was about three weeks old in this photo. Looking at this picture makes me think of the verses in the Bible where it talks about being like a child. Oh, the innocence of a child. I hope and pray he will imprint the words of the Bible onto his heart!

Duck Bath

So I have tired different ways to give Grant a bath and for one reason or another I have not like it. For example, we have a little tub connected to his changing table we can use but every time I put him in it he cries or screams, I also don't feel that he gets very clean this way. I am not a big fan of putting him in the sinks because I just don't feel that they are very clean and so the other option is the shower. He likes the warmth of the shower but it tends to be a two person job and I am afraid of slipping and falling, so therefore on Wednesday I decided to try out his duck bath. I blew it up, put it in the living room, and then added warm water. At first when I put him in it he began to cry but I told him it would be okay, rubbed his belly and he stopped. I thought it went really well. I think Grant has found his new bath buddy, the Duck!!!

Maybe next time we will get a smile out of him!
 

My Little Jedi

For most of you that know me, you know that I love Star Wars! Since Dad didn't have any little boys, I would watch all the movies with him and now I can proudly say that, I can quote all of the movies!! Grant is wearing a Star Wars onesie.

4th of July

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, probably because I love fireworks! Growing up I can often remember us camping and shooting fire crackers and then watching the big show late that night, it was always tons of fun. Since they don't celebrate the 4th here, we decided as a team to get together. We ate hamburgers, had pickles and drank Dr. Pepper! I forgot to take pictures of the party but here is Grant celebrating his first 4th of July!!!

Months 1 and 2

I have decided that I am going to take pictures of Grant everyone month so I can see his growth. I can't believe how fast he is growing!

Father's Day

 This was Zane's first Father's Day and Grant had to let him know how much he loves him!!!

Photo Shoot

Before Grant was born I did a lot of googling for cute newborn pictures we could take of him. Since Zane loves photography, we spent one day buying cute props and deciding which posses we were going to use. Needless to say after Grant was born we were busy, tired, and learned that he didn't like being messed with. We tried 3 different times to get the perfect pictures. I don't know if they are perfect but the baby in them is!!! Here are a few!

We took a lot more but haven't had time to fix them, therefore be on the look out for more to come!!!
